Marylin Pierre has an extensive history of volunteering. She has been volunteering with the Montgomery County Bar Foundation's Pro Bono Program to represent clients who were unable to pay for an attorney since 1992. In addition to her activities in the legal community, Marylin is a board member of the Montgomery County Historical Society. She has volunteered to judge projects from middle school and high school students at History Day. In addition to being a judge at History Day, Marylin used her resources to provide a small stipend to some of the participants in History Day to encourage them to continue their efforts. Marylin is a graduate of Leadership Montgomery and she continues to volunteer with them on the Core Recruitment Committee. She is the legal redress attorney for the Montgomery County Branch of the NAACP. Marylin is active in the Boy Scouts of America Troop 291 and the Girl Scout of America Troop 4069. She has volunteered at several weekend camping trips and week long camping trips. She is the first-aid parent for Girl Scout Troop 4069 and she is campout and cookout certified. Marylin has also encouraged and supported candidates when they ran for office and has volunteered at the polls on Election Day. Marylin loves to help people and she seems to have boundless energy when it comes to volunteering.
