Plan a project to get volunteers involved with your organization during Days of Service!

The Volunteer Center will be promoting service and volunteerism even more these four times a year, so take advantage. If you have any questions about how your organization can get involved, email servicedays@montgomerycountymd.gov.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service - Third Monday in January

The MLK Day of Service is a way to transform Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and teachings into community action that helps solve social problems. On this day, Americans of every age and background celebrate Dr. King through service projects that strengthen communities, empower individuals, bridge barriers, and create solutions.

Earth Month  - All throughout April 

 

Celebrate Earth Day all throughout the month of April and join in projects to improve and beautify our environment!  Find out more Earth Day 2013!

Community Service Day - Fourth Saturday of October 

Also known nationally as Make a Difference Day, Montgomery County's Community Service Day is a day when we promote volunteer opportunities all accross our community and connect hundreds of volunteers to projects. Start planning projects now for October 26, 2013 - or the entire week from October 20th to the 26th.
