Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service - Third Monday of January

The MLK Day of Service transforms Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and teachings into community action that helps solve social problems.  On this day, Americans of every age and background celebrate Dr. King through service projects that strengthen communities, empower individuals, bridge barriers, and create solutions. Community Service Day - Fourth Saturday of October

Make a difference in your community and volunteer during Montgomery County’s Community Service Week. Thanks to all who served during Community Service Week 2016 - October 16 - 23, 2016. Nationally known as Make a Difference Day, Montgomery County has been celebrating and serving on Community Service Day for 30 years!
